Time Management

🎬 Contains Videos

Discover why time management is truly self-management and learn how to use your 24 hours with greater intention, confidence, and calm. You’ll explore mindset shifts such as treating time as a limited resource, focusing on results rather than busyness, using energy wisely, and applying the 80/20 Principle to identify the efforts that matter most. You’ll then analyse your own time use by spotting common time thieves, recognising peak energy periods, and clarifying your personal values. Through hands-on practice, you’ll implement weekly and daily planning, the Eisenhower Matrix, time-blocking, single-tasking, focused work sprints, and simple tools for managing tasks and messages. The course also helps you overcome procrastination, distractions, overcommitment, and burnout by building sustainable habits through small changes, reflection, and environment design. You’ll finish with a personal action plan, a 30-day challenge, and strategies for long-term mastery—aimed at helping you achieve more, reduce stress, and create better balance.

Learning outcomes

By completing this package, learners can:

  • Describe why time management matters, including at least three personal or professional benefits such as reduced stress, improved achievement, or better work-life balance.
  • Explain the difference between managing time and managing yourself, and summarise why intentional use of time leads to better results than simply staying busy.
  • Apply core mindset shifts such as prioritising results over busyness and focusing on the 20% of actions that produce the majority of outcomes in a given scenario.
  • Analyse personal time use by tracking activities over three days, then categorise time thieves, peak energy periods, and value-aligned versus low-value tasks.
  • Use planning tools such as the Eisenhower Matrix, time-blocking, and a Top 3 priorities list to organise a realistic weekly and daily schedule.
  • Demonstrate focused execution strategies by selecting and using appropriate techniques such as single-tasking, the Pomodoro Technique, batching, or the 2-minute rule.
  • Assess the causes of procrastination, distraction, overcommitment, and burnout in a work or study routine, and justify suitable strategies to reduce their impact.
  • Develop a simple sustainable time management system that includes habit stacking, review routines, progress tracking, and environment design.
  • Create a personal 30-day action plan that aligns time use with long-term goals, incorporates boundaries and recovery time, and includes measurable commitments for improvement.
