1 Social And Digital Wellbeing

Strengthening social connections can support both mental and physical wellbeing. In this course, you’ll explore how family, friendships, colleagues and community help reduce loneliness, ease stress and improve life satisfaction. You’ll build practical skills to recognise the qualities of supportive relationships, strengthen existing bonds, and respond to social isolation with confidence. The course also focuses on effective communication—developing active listening, empathy, clarity and awareness of verbal and non-verbal cues—and how communication influences relationship quality and personal wellbeing. You’ll gain confidence to set and respect personal boundaries, including emotional, physical, time and digital boundaries, and learn how to handle boundary violations respectfully. Finally, you’ll examine the impact of technology on wellbeing, such as comparison culture, information overload and digital addiction, and you’ll discover realistic strategies for balanced screen use, mindful technology habits and digital detox techniques to stay connected without harming your health.

2 Environmental Wellbeing And Sustainable Living

This course helps you understand what biophilia and nature connection mean, and how spending time outdoors can reduce stress, lift mood, sharpen focus and support the immune system. You’ll learn about the health impact of being disconnected from nature in modern life, and you’ll discover simple, practical approaches to bring nature into daily routines—including green exercise, forest bathing and mindful outdoor time, even in urban settings. The course then moves into sustainable living, showing how personal choices in areas such as food, travel, energy use and shopping influence both your wellbeing and the planet. You’ll build knowledge of the core principles of reduce, reuse and recycle, and examine how conscious consumption can create meaningful impact. You’ll also consider the power of community action and learn how shared environmental efforts can strengthen connection, resilience and purpose. Finish by developing strategies to manage eco-anxiety and creating a personal action plan for ongoing social, digital and environmental wellbeing.
